How to deal with high bearing temperature

High bearing temperature is common and harmful equipment fault, will reduce the service life of bearing, increase the maintenance cost, when the temperature increases quickly  the temperature exceeds bid, easily lead to stop or reduce the unit's load operation, which had a great influence on economic benefit .Therefore, quickly determine the cause of the malfunction, take proper measures to solve, is the equipment for safe operation of the guarantee.

Common bearing high temperature reasons are as follows:

     

1) Poor lubrication, such as insufficient or excessive lubrication, lubricating oils quality does fit the bill or sundries

2) Insufficient cooling, such as pipeline blockage, improper selection of cooler and poor cooling effect;

3) Abnormal bearing, such as bearing damage, poor bearing assembly process, bearing box clearance adjustment does not meet the requirements
4)Large vibration, such as poor alignment process of coupling, dynamic and static unbalance of rotor, poor rigidity of foundation, virtual foundation, rotating stall and surge.  

 

When the bearing temperature is high, the problems should be solved from the following aspects:  

1) The bearing housing should be lubricated regularly according to the requirements of the work. Sometimes the temperature of bearing is too high after oil filling, mainly due to excessive oil filling. At this time, the phenomenon is that the temperature continues to rise, after reaching a certain point (generally 10 ~ 15 higher than the normal operating temperature), it will remain unchanged, and then it will gradually decrease.

Suitable grease should be selected. Bearing boxes and bearings should be cleaned during overhaul. Oil filling lines should be checked and dredged. Different types of grease should not be mixed. If other types of grease are replaced, the original grease should be 

1) cleaned up first. Oil should be added regularly during operation and maintenance. Oil should be stored properly to prevent moisture and dust.

2) Replace in time or install new coolers in parallel.The heat insulation and sealing of the middle barrel should also be checked for the axial-flow induced draft fan.

Check the coupling alignment and bearing coupling alignment to meet the process standards after confirming that there are no problems mentioned above.The problem of thermal expansion of equipment in operation should also be considered in the timing of axial-flow induced draft fan and hydraulic coupler.Due to thermal expansion of impeller side of induced draft fan, bearing box rises; temperature of bearing box rises during operation of hydraulic coupler and bearing rises, so the setting timing motor is higher, and the reserve quantity depends on the characteristics of equipment and temperature parameters in operation.
