Big project!CNOOC x DSR is strongly cooperating to develop and build world-class installation!

      CNOOC has signed an agreement with DSR Bearing Co., Ltd. The two parties will cooperate in the development and construction of world-class polycarbonate installation.

      The polycarbonate plant will be built at the CNOOC X DSR Joint Venture Chemical Base in Huizhou, Guangdong Province.At present, the base has phenol and acetone production capacity of 220,000 tons/year and 130,000 tons/year respectively. 

      There will also be R&D center which will be constructed synchronously with the polycarbonate production installation. The polycarbonate R&D center will closely integrate with the market and production to continuously develop high-quality and differentiated new products to meet the market demand.

      This time, CNOOC and DSR are working together again. DSR provides 600 million yuan worth of high-end bearings for this project and provides installation guidance, maintenance, after-sales and other services throughout the project. It will fully utilize the resources and market advantages of CNOOC DSR and effectively extend the product value chain.

The world-class polycarbonate plant will use a green chemical process, starting from carbon dioxide discharged from the plant, using diphenyl carbonate technology and melting polycarbonate technology to produce polycarbonate products.

      Statistics show that there are nearly 20 PC projects to be constructed in China, with total capacity exceeding 4.6 million tons.Conservatively, it is expected that China will release 2.41 million tons of PC capacity by 2023, and the total capacity of China's polycarbonate will reach 3.6 million tons by that time.
